Day 8: Kingham to Burford

Day 8: Kingham to Burford Use this link to get the itinerary of today's walk.

Not many photos today. Here's a link to them.

Had lunch at Miletree Clump (on the border of Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire). It was delicious: banana au naturalle (for a starter); tuna pasta salad served with a basket of plain crisps accompanied by lucozade au orange; followed by a rainbow doughnut. After lunch, it rained quite a bit and I put my camera away, and although the rain came and went, the camera fell asleep.

When I got to Little Barrington, it was 2pm, and there was just a 2.5 mile walk to the nearest bus stop (at Burford). I decided it was a bit early to finish walking, and so decided to do a bit more of the D'Arcy Dalton Way. It would mean taking a bit of tomorrow's long walk. Managed to do a further 1.2 mile. On the map I went from Little Barrington, across the green road (the A40) to the orange road. Which now means I did more today than I'll do tomorrow. Excellent.

There was then a 2.5 mile walk back (along the orange road) to Burford. I tried hitching. I tried doing this on a busy road for 30 minutes without any success. I gave up on the outskirts of Burford.
