The route starts at Heyford Wharf, which is a few miles south of the bottom of the map. Heyford Wharf is at Bridge 206 on the Oxford Canal. From there, it's northwards with the river Cherwell to the west and the railway line and the M40 to the east. Just south of Kings Sutton, the river crosses over the canal, and then the M40 crosses. All four (motorway, canal, river and railway) are close together at Kings Sutton. Today the route ends in Banbury. |
