Introduction

Primary Aim:

To convince you that languages such as C# and Visual Basic.NET provide an alternative to using the Java programming language.

Secondary Aims:

to describe some of the basics of the .NET Framework;
to explain how programming languages such as C# and Visual Basic.NET fit in to the .NET Framework;
to demonstrate typical applications coded using C# or Visual Basic.NET.
