Photos from a trip to the Kruger National Park during September 2010

Here you will find some photos from a trip I made to the Kruger National Park during September 2010.

During my 17 days in the Park, I was lucky to see lots of lions, at least four sightings of leopards, two sightings of cheetahs and one blackbacked jackal. I also saw hyaenas, rhinos, buffalos, elephants, hippos, warthogs, klipspringers, springboks, reedbuck and bushbuck. I only saw two bateleurs and three saddle billed storks, but I saw lots of ostrichs, several fish eagles, several kori bustards and several ground hornbills. I failed to see wild dogs, woolly-necked storks and secretary birds.

There are about 980 photos here. I've put each day's photos into a separate set. If you want to see all the photos for a particular day (unlikely!), click on either the list or the slideshow links in the column head all today's photos.

That's a lot of photos! So, as well as producing sets for each day's photos, I've also produced sets for each of the days that contains what I call the best 10 photos of that day.

Here best means several things: the photo may be a well composed and well focussed photo; it may be the best photo I could get of a rare bird/mammal; or it may be a typical photo of one of the bird/mammals I saw that day. I've added a description to each of the best 10 photos. If you use the slideshow link in the column head best 10 photos, you may need to click on Show Info in order to get the descriptions to appear.
